Serving Horses in North Northumberland, the Borders, and East Lothian

Throughout the growing season pastures with good grass growth should be kept topped. As the grass grows, and develops seed heads, it becomes tough and unpalatable. Topping off these longer lignified stems, allows grazing of the more nutritious leaf below, as well as encouraging the grass to thicken and tiller. The thicker the grass cover, the less chance there is of weed invasion.
Where weeds have taken over grazing, and spraying is not an option, or desired; topping the weeds before they seed will control there growth, allowing grass to take over.
EQUISERVE using a heavy duty 1.2 metre disc topper can bring most paddocks into line allowing fresh growth, and creating a visually pleasing grassland.
